3YOURMIND Partners with Phillips Corp. in US Navy RIMPAC Distributed Manufacturing Experiment

3YOURMIND, the Berlin- and Boston-based AM software provider, will partner with Phillips Corp. at the US Navy's Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) exercise from July 24-31 in Hawaii. The collaboration, run through the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS), will test distributed manufacturing aboard the USS Essex using Phillips' Additive Hybrid system-a containerized DED and CNC milling platform. 3YOURMIND's software, including its Rapid Part Identifier (RPI), will manage the digital supply chain, file distribution, and part qualification across the operational vessel. This marks the third joint military exercise for the two companies in as many months, following JIFX at Camp Roberts in May and Valiant Shield in Okinawa in June.

This partnership fits the defense-acceleration pattern that has defined US military AM adoption since 2025. The Navy is moving beyond lab demonstrations toward operational deployment, and 3YOURMIND's software layer addresses the critical bottleneck: managing fragmented digital inventories and ensuring the right file reaches the right printer at the right time.
