ERPRO, a French additive manufacturing service bureau, has produced the 3D printed seats for the Alpine A290 Rallye vehicle in partnership with Alpine and Lacoste. The seats feature a lattice structure designed for weight reduction and ergonomic performance, marking a named-partner automotive application of AM. The vehicle was presented as a rally-inspired concept, with ERPRO's role centered on production of the seat structures using its industrial polymer AM capabilities.

This collaboration sits at the intersection of automotive and consumer-branded design, where AM enables low-volume, high-customization interior components that would be uneconomical with traditional tooling. The automotive vertical has historically been selective about serial-part AM adoption, favoring tooling and prototyping over end-use components. This application, while a concept vehicle rather than a production program, demonstrates the pull-through of lattice design and polymer AM into visible, branded interior elements. It also reinforces the service bureau model as the primary route for automotive OEMs to access AM without internal capital investment, a pattern consistent with the broader industry shift toward service-led adoption.

For ERPRO, this is a reference project that strengthens its portfolio in automotive and luxury-brand collaborations, but it remains a concept-vehicle application rather than a production-scale commitment. The practical signal is that lattice-structured seating is technically viable for rally-style vehicles, but the path to serial production would require qualification for crash safety, durability, and regulatory compliance. ERPRO's next step is to convert this design visibility into repeat service contracts with automotive or motorsport clients who can move beyond one-off concepts.
