Bambu Lab opened its first offline 3D-printing experience store in Chongqing on July 17. The site combines product displays with hands-on activities spanning 3D modeling, printing, painting and physical demonstrations, giving prospective users a full consumer workflow rather than a conventional retail transaction. Visitors can also use AI-assisted modeling tools before producing models on site, according to the opening announcement.

The move extends Bambu Lab's consumer FDM/FFF strategy into a physical service and education channel in a major inland Chinese city. Its value is less about adding a single sales outlet than reducing the practical friction between buying a printer and successfully making useful objects, especially for first-time users. The store also creates a local venue for showcasing the broader design-to-print ecosystem around MakerWorld, where content, software and hardware reinforce one another. For Bambu Lab, the practical test is whether guided in-store experiences convert into durable printer use, repeat materials purchases and community participation beyond launch-day footfall.
