Farsoon Technologies top 10 customers surpass 100 SLS machine installations for prototyping and low-volume production

Farsoon Technologies announced that its top 10 customers in China's rapid prototyping service industry have collectively installed over 100 of its polymer SLS machines. These installations, concentrated in manufacturing hubs like the Pearl River Delta and Yangtze River Delta, serve clients including Shenzhen Future Workshop, Shanghai Youlian Zhizao, Shenzhen JLC, and Guizhou Senyuan. The machines are deployed for producing prototypes and small-batch production parts, underscoring Farsoon's deepening penetration into the domestic service bureau segment.
This milestone reflects a broader trend in polymer AM where Chinese OEMs are scaling production capacity through service bureau fleets rather than direct end-user sales. Farsoon's SLS platform competes directly with HP's Multi Jet Fusion and EOS's polymer PBF systems, but at a significantly lower total cost of ownership due to localized supply chains and materials. The company's ability to place over 100 units across just ten accounts signals that service bureaus are consolidating around a single vendor for standardization, which reduces qualification overhead and accelerates throughput. This pattern mirrors the Chinese localization arc, where a domestic entrant scales faster by integrating materials, service, and customer references into a cohesive offering.
For Farsoon, the next challenge is maintaining machine utilization rates and service margins as the installed base grows. Service bureaus will increasingly demand lower cost per part and higher reliability, not just lower machine prices. The company must continue investing in materials development and process consistency to prevent commoditization of its hardware advantage.
