Gevorkyan completes Bologna factory acquisition and raises capital via accelerated bookbuild to scale aerospace manufacturing. The Slovakia-based powder metallurgy firm finalized the Italian facility purchase after a two-year negotiation process, while simultaneously executing an accelerated bookbuild on the Prague Stock Exchange to fund production automation and robotization. Alongside this expansion, Gevorkyan secured listing in the IAQG OASIS database, a mandatory step for supplying aerospace OEMs including Airbus, Boeing, and Lockheed Martin, while continuing its AS9100 certification process.
This move positions Gevorkyan to integrate its powder metallurgy and potential additive manufacturing capabilities into the European aerospace and defense supply chain. By acquiring an established Italian production site, the company gains immediate access to a regional industrial ecosystem that includes major automotive and defense clients like Ducati, Piaggio, and Rheinmetall. This strategy addresses the growing demand for localized, high-precision metal component manufacturing in Europe, shifting the company from a regional supplier to a broader tier-one candidate for complex aerospace programs.
Securing the IAQG OASIS listing is the critical operational hurdle for Gevorkyan to transition from automotive-grade production to aerospace-qualified manufacturing. The company must now demonstrate consistent quality management system performance under AS9100 to convert its new Italian capacity into long-term aerospace contracts. Success depends on effectively integrating its automated production workflows with the stringent traceability requirements demanded by the aerospace sector.
