The award, presented on June 11 at the Millennium Tower in Magdeburg by Saxony-Anhalt’s Minister for Science Prof. Dr. Armin Willingmann, recognizes the company’s automated 3D printing process for sand cores and molds, specifically its L3D-200 industrial sand 3D printer. The L3D-200 enables tool-free production of complex sand cores and molds directly from digital data, eliminating tooling requirements and setup times while integrating automated processes and quality control for series production. The technology is already deployed in a reference installation at the BMW Light Metal Foundry in Landshut, and the award follows the company’s (R)evolution Award at Formnext in autumn 2025.
