SUNLU Launches AMS Lite Heater for Bambu Lab Ecosystem, Expands U.S. Manufacturing

SUNLU, the Zhuhai, China-based filament and accessories manufacturer celebrating its 13th anniversary, has introduced the AMS Lite Heater, a $129.99 accessory designed for the Bambu Lab AMS Lite system. Launching July 20, 2026, the kit integrates active filament drying directly into the printing workflow, maintaining temperatures up to 70°C and supporting PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, PA, and PC. The device features dual-airflow channels for even heat distribution, automatic venting to expel moisture during operation, and built-in humidity monitoring that triggers drying when a user-set threshold is crossed, even during storage. Alongside the product launch, SUNLU announced a global giveaway with 100 winners receiving 10,000 rolls of filament, anniversary gifts, and units of the new heater, and confirmed it is expanding its U.S.-based manufacturing operations to shorten delivery times for North American customers.

This launch fits the established pattern of accessory vendors building around dominant hardware ecosystems - in this case, Bambu Lab’s AMS Lite, which has become a de facto standard in the desktop polymer FDM/FFF segment. Moisture management remains one of the few genuinely unglamorous but practically important pain points in desktop FDM/FFF, especially for hygroscopic materials like PA and PC that degrade rapidly in ambient humidity.
