AML3D reports record AU$29M order book for FY2026, with two of six ARCEMY systems accepted at Newport News Shipbuilding

AML3D closed fiscal year 2026 with a record AUD 29 million order book, cash receipts of AUD 10.4 million (up roughly 20 percent year on year), and AUD 16.8 million already carried into FY2027. Newport News Shipbuilding, the Huntington Ingalls division building US Navy carriers and submarines, completed final acceptance of the first two of six ordered ARCEMY wire-arc systems, with the remaining four due early in FY2027. Austal USA installed its first portable ARCEMY unit, bringing its installed base to three systems, and AML3D confirmed a new contract for non-safety-critical spare parts on the US Navy submarine fleet.

The results confirm AML3D's WAAM-based large-format metal deposition as a working supplier line into US naval shipbuilding rather than a one-off pilot, with repeat orders across two separate yards now the operative signal. The company added retired Rear Admiral David Goggins, a former AUKUS special advisor, to its US advisory board alongside ex-Navy AM lead Larissa Smith, reinforcing the defense-policy access behind its pipeline. AML3D values its global sales pipeline at AUD 78 million and is committing AUD 12 million to double manufacturing capacity at its Stow, Ohio site, plus AUD 5 million toward a planned European technology center.

For a company of this scale, revenue still concentrates on a small number of US Navy-linked accounts, so the FY2027 order backlog and the pace of the remaining four Newport News installs are the figures worth tracking next.
