South Korean wellness firm Cinnamon Lab has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Nourished, a United Kingdom-based personalized nutrition company. The partnership grants Cinnamon Lab the rights to introduce Nourished's 3D-printed gummy supplement technology to the South Korean market. Nourished utilizes proprietary 3D additive manufacturing processes to layer specific nutritional ingredients based on individual user requirements. The company has previously established commercial validation through collaborations with global oral care leader Colgate and major European retailers such as Boots and Holland & Barrett.

This move targets the growing demand for hyper-personalized health and wellness products in South Korea, where the market is shifting from mass-produced supplements to data-driven, individualized nutrition. By leveraging 3D printing, Nourished can achieve high design flexibility, allowing for the precise layering of diverse micronutrients and vitamins within a single gummy format. This application of additive manufacturing addresses the limitations of traditional pill manufacturing, which struggles with the complex ingredient combinations required for true personalization. Cinnamon Lab intends to integrate these 3D-printed products with an AI-driven diagnostic system to create a closed-loop personalized nutrition ecosystem.

To succeed, Cinnamon Lab must effectively integrate the hardware-enabled product delivery with a robust digital health platform that can process consumer biometric data. The technical challenge lies in maintaining ingredient stability and dosage precision during the additive manufacturing process at scale. The initial rollout of 3D-printed gummies will serve as a proof of concept for a broader business model centered on customized formulation and automated manufacturing workflows.
