CRP Technology developed a monolithic 3D printed intake for the 740 hp Alpine Hy6 hydrogen prototype using Windform SP carbon fiber-reinforced composite. This SLS-based design eliminated sealing failures caused by thermal expansion mismatches in previous hybrid assemblies, successfully withstanding 5 bar pressure cycles. Moving to monolithic CFRTP components marks a systemic shift in hydrogen powertrain reliability, where AM replaces heavy, complex multi-material assemblies. This proves that high-performance composites can now survive the extreme thermal loads of zero-emission racing. 🏎️ #3DPrinting #AdditiveManufacturing #Hydrogen #Automotive #CRPTechnology #Alpine
