Ferrari is refining its 2026 F1 Power Unit by integrating advanced Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) in partnership with Renishaw. While a full 3D-printed steel head is technically unfeasible, selective steel sub-components are being optimized for extreme combustion pressures. This approach leverages 95 percent powder recyclability and conformal cooling to meet the 50/50 electrical-thermal split mandates.
