
Gravity Pull Systems launches next-generation PAAM toolpath optimization software, opens Diagnostic Benchmark program for metal LPBF users

Gravity Pull Systems has released a new generation of its Personal AM Assistant (PAAM) toolpath optimization software for metal laser powder bed fusion, and is now opening selected PAAM Diagnostic Benchmark projects to metal AM service providers and industrial users. PAAM inspects slicer and build files, analyzes scan-path behavior, and applies controlled corrective actions to reduce porosity risk, multi-laser interaction issues, and gas-flow sensitivity before the first build. The software is already integrated with EOS, Nikon SLM Solutions, Aconity, and Materialise workflows, has been licensed by Oerlikon AM, and has been tested in industrial aerospace use cases.
Toolpath strategy sits upstream of nearly every downstream quality metric in LPBF, so automating its diagnosis addresses a cost center that rarely gets headline attention: the manual scan-strategy scripting and requalification loops that regulated manufacturers absorb quietly on every build. Positioning PAAM as free to explore and tying adoption to a named vendor list, rather than a standalone claim, gives the launch a verification trail that generic build-preparation software announcements usually lack. The Oerlikon AM license and aerospace testing reference suggest the tool is being evaluated against qualification-grade documentation requirements, not just prototyping throughput.
