
Hyperion Robotics raises $7.4M to scale robotic concrete 3D printing microfactories in Europe

Hyperion Robotics has raised $7.4 million in growth funding to expand its robotic concrete 3D-printing operations across Europe. The round was co-led by Course Corrected and the European Innovation Council Fund, with RE Ventures and existing investors Lifeline Ventures, Übermorgen Ventures and PC Rettig Impact & Co. also participating. The Finland-based company will use the capital to launch Forge I, develop its Forge platform and expand into European infrastructure markets. Hyperion says the financing brings total capital raised to nearly $20 million.
Forge I is planned for Flixborough, near Scunthorpe in the UK, in partnership with LKAB. The site is intended to manufacture infrastructure components for energy, utilities, water, data centres and carbon-capture projects using localized robotic microfactories. Hyperion’s Forge platform links design, structural engineering, code compliance, robotics and factory operations, addressing the practical integration work that determines whether construction AM can move beyond individual demonstration projects. Its customer list includes National Grid, Costain, Mott MacDonald Bentley, Anglian Water and United Utilities.
The funding supports a move from project-by-project delivery toward repeatable production capacity, where component qualification, site deployment and throughput will matter more than the printing cell alone. For concrete AM, the key commercial test is whether local production reduces labor, logistics and embodied-carbon costs while meeting infrastructure specifications consistently.
