The University of Limerick ULAS team is developing the Republic of Irelands first 3D printed liquid rocket engine, the 2 kN Luin of Celtchar. Produced with Irish Manufacturing Research, this bi-propellant system uses metal AM to integrate complex cooling channels impossible via traditional methods. The 100 plus student team is shortening R&D cycles for the Race2Space 2026 competition. This project proves AM democratizes high-performance aerospace innovation. ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช #AdditiveManufacturing #Aerospace #3DPrinting
