University of Limerick and IMR are manufacturing Ireland’s first 3D-printed liquid rocket engine, the 2kN Lúin of Celtchar. This bi-propellant system uses metal AM to integrate water-cooling channels that traditional subtractive methods cannot produce. By moving from concept to high-performance hardware, Ireland is building a sovereign aerospace supply chain via its new ESA Phi-Lab.
