Xenia Materials and Politecnico di Milano developed the O.L.I.V.I.A. autonomous drone using 3D printed molds from XECARB 40-C20-3DP. This 20% carbon-fiber reinforced polycarbonate withstands autoclave cycles of 120C and 2-bar pressure, enabling precise aerodynamic wings for a 1.75kg payload mission. The project illustrates how high-performance additive tooling replaces traditional metal molds to accelerate aerospace prototyping. This shift to composite tooling is vital for rapid production of humanitarian UAV systems. 🚀🛠️✈️ #AdditiveManufacturing #3DPrinting #Aerospace #Composites #UAV
