Xihe Additive is starting production at its phase-2 facility in Jiangxi province this month, with the company targeting commercial output by the third quarter of 2026. The new line adds to Xihe's existing manufacturing footprint in the province, expanding capacity for industrial 3D printing equipment as the company moves from installation to ramp-up. No production capacity figures or investment amount were disclosed alongside the announcement.

The expansion lands against a backdrop of accelerating regional demand: Jiangxi's provincial 3D printing equipment sector recorded 90.8 percent year-over-year growth in order volume through the first half of 2026. That surge reflects a broader pattern among Chinese AM equipment makers, who are scaling production capacity to serve both domestic industrial tooling and prototyping demand and a widening export order book, supported by increasingly localized laser and metal powder supply chains. Xihe's timing puts it in position to capture near-term order flow rather than build ahead of demand.

The compressed window between production start and targeted output, roughly a single quarter, will test whether the new capacity can come online fast enough to keep pace with provincial order growth already running near triple digits.
