Dcubed has launched the ARAQYS-D1 mission via SpaceX to demonstrate 3D printing a 60 cm structural boom directly in the vacuum of free space. This proof-of-concept moves additive manufacturing out of build chambers, using directed energy to solidify material in orbit. By fabricating masts on-demand, we can finally bypass the volume constraints of rocket fairings. This transition from launching finished goods to raw feedstock will redefine the scale of future orbital infrastructure. 🚀🛰️ #AdditiveManufacturing #SpaceTech #3DPrinting #Aerospace
