SpaceX's inaugural Twilight rideshare mission successfully deployed Dcubed's ARAQYS-D1, a milestone for orbital additive manufacturing. The mission will 3D print a 60-centimeter structural boom directly in the vacuum of space. This capability decouples satellite size from rocket fairing constraints, enabling structures far larger than any launch vehicle could carry. This proof of concept paves the way for printing 2kW solar arrays and kilometer-scale antennas by 2027. 🚀🛰️ #3DPrinting #SpaceX #AdditiveManufacturing #InSpaceManufacturing #Aerospace
