Farsoon held a footwear additive manufacturing forum in Jakarta on July 23, themed around automating mass production, drawing Indonesian and Southeast Asian shoe-mold supply chain companies. Deputy general manager Cheng Jie presented Farsoon's full-process automated shoe-mold solution, built on the FS450M system paired with AGV-driven production lines and an MES layer for scheduling and traceability. Farsoon said it will deepen its partnership with local integrator Chuanghong Technology to expand localized equipment servicing and project delivery, while software partner VoxelDance presented on digitizing the mold production workflow.
The event follows a similar forum Farsoon ran in Vietnam, extending a push to turn shoe-mold tooling, one of the few AM applications already running at real production scale, into a repeatable regional service model rather than one-off machine sales. Rising ESG and labor-cost pressure on Southeast Asian footwear manufacturers gives automated, flexible mold tooling a clearer near-term economic case than most other AM verticals still stuck in qualification cycles. The practical signal is servitization: pairing hardware with AGV logistics, MES software, and a local partner network lets Farsoon capture more of the tooling value chain around an already-proven use case instead of chasing new segment adoption.
