Xiamen-based Hanin (汉印) has launched two industrial additive manufacturing systems: the SJF-P380, a selective jet fusion (SJF) powder bed printer for nylon and TPU, and the LCD-L298, an 8K-resolution LCD vat photopolymerization system optimized for elastomer materials. The SJF-P380 offers a 380×280×380 mm build volume, a build speed of 3,830 cm³/h, 1,200 DPI resolution, and 95% domestic component sourcing. It uses five industrial piezoelectric print heads and weighs 1,350 kg. The LCD-L298 delivers 6,480×3,600 (8K) resolution with 46-micron XY accuracy, a 294×160×400 mm build volume, and adjustable layer thickness from 0.01 to 0.3 mm, using a COB light source with Fresnel lens optics. Both systems are supported by Hanin's IoT platform for remote monitoring and AI-based print diagnostics.
These launches illustrate a broader pattern in the Chinese AM industry: domestic vendors are moving beyond copying Western powder bed fusion designs and instead developing proprietary process families. Hanin's SJF technology is a binder-jet-like approach for polymer powders, distinct from HP's Multi Jet Fusion or EOS's laser sintering, and positions the company as a technology definer rather than a follower. The LCD-L298 targets a specific pain point in elastomer printing - inconsistent light intensity and poor surface finish - which has limited adoption in footwear, soft robotics, and medical rehabilitation. Hanin's strategy of combining a broad technology portfolio (SJF, SLM, LCD, DLP, FDM) with deep specialization in a single material class mirrors the approach of established Chinese industrial conglomerates that leverage cross-subsidization across product lines. The 95% localization rate on the SJF-P380 also insulates Hanin from laser-source or print-head supply chain disruptions that affect Western OEMs.
For buyers evaluating polymer AM systems, the SJF-P380's 11-hour full-build time and 3,830 cm³/h throughput are competitive with HP's MJF 580 series, though Hanin must still demonstrate material breadth beyond PA12 and TPU and build a service network outside China. The LCD-L298's 46-micron resolution and elastomer-specific optical chain address a genuine gap in the vat photopolymerization market, but its commercial success will depend on the availability of qualified dual-component elastomer resins and post-processing workflows. Hanin's next execution challenge is converting its 785 patents and 400-person R&D team into repeatable production references in footwear and consumer electronics, where cycle time and part consistency matter more than machine specs.
