Hymson Laser registers wholly owned additive manufacturing subsidiary in Guangzhou with RMB 20 million capital

Hymson Laser has registered a new wholly owned subsidiary, Hymson Additive Manufacturing (Guangzhou) Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd., according to Chinese corporate registry filings. The entity carries RMB 20 million (roughly $2.8 million) in registered capital and lists Zhao Shengyu as legal representative. Its business scope covers additive manufacturing equipment sales, AM production services, and general parts manufacturing, and it is based in Guangzhou. Hymson Laser holds 100 percent of the new unit.

Hymson Laser is a listed laser-processing equipment maker best known for battery-industry laser cutting and welding systems, and this subsidiary marks a formal step from supplying laser sources into fielding its own AM machines. The move fits a pattern among Chinese laser and photonics suppliers integrating downstream into metal AM hardware, using in-house laser sourcing to compete on cost against established LPBF vendors. It also lands amid broader signs of Chinese AM manufacturing scale-up, with Shenzhen's AM equipment exports climbing sharply this year. The practical question for buyers evaluating Hymson's eventual AM lineup is whether its laser-supply cost advantage converts into machine reliability and service support, not just registered capital.
