Kalogon launches Verro Lattice and Verro Foam, Medicare E2609-coded custom wheelchair cushions

Florida-based medical seating company Kalogon has launched Verro, a Medicare-coded custom wheelchair cushion line for users with complex postural needs such as windswept posture, pelvic obliquity, or asymmetry. The lineup splits into Verro Lattice, a patent-pending 3D printed elastomer with variable firmness across the surface, and Verro Foam, a dual-density foam build whose dense base can still be adjusted after delivery. Clinicians order through Launch Pad, Kalogon's real-time configurator, using either a 3D scan from a seated physical mold or direct measurements; both paths ship within 14 days from the Melbourne, Florida plant. All units carry Medicare code E2609.

Verro moves Kalogon beyond its 2019-era smart pressure-relief cushions with sensors into body-mapped lattice seating that seating specialists said multi-density stock cushions could not match for the hardest postural cases. Lattice zoning holds the pelvis and trunk where support is needed and softens where pressure must drop, while open cells cut weight by up to two pounds versus average cushions, move air for heat and moisture control, and let the hydrophobic elastomer run through a dishwasher top rack. The decisive commercial detail is reimbursement access: E2609 puts a custom 3D printed seat inside existing durable medical equipment billing rather than leaving it as a cash-pay specialty.

For medical AM, the story is less about a new printer than about scan-to-lattice workflow, domestic lead time, and coding that lets clinics prescribe complex custom seating at production volume.
