Italian manufacturer Kentstrapper has launched the Mille, a large-format FDM/FFF 3D printer with a 1,000 × 1,000 × 1,000 mm build volume, targeting automotive, aerospace, shipbuilding, tooling, and defense applications. The system, built in Florence and debuted at Mecspe in March 2026, features a steel-frame Cartesian motion system, an actively heated chamber reaching 60°C, and a print bed heated to 120°C with six independently controlled zones. The Mantis high-flow extruder supports nozzles from 0.4 to 1.4 mm, layer heights from 0.1 to 1.2 mm, and magnetic tool changes under 30 seconds. Materials include ASA, ABS, fiber-reinforced nylon, PPS-CF, and ESD/UL-94 V-0 rated plastics, with automatic extruder failover and a bed-scanning compensation system for geometric deviations.
