Luxshare Precision's Hong Kong Stock Exchange prospectus and 2025 annual report, filed ahead of its July 2026 H-share listing, rank selective laser melting first among three innovative processes highlighted from its 260-plus manufacturing techniques. The Guangdong-based contract manufacturer, which posted RMB 332.3 billion in 2025 revenue serving the world's top ten consumer electronics brands, built a domestic SLM production line with a Chinese laser supplier: four laser heads on a 260mm x 260mm build platform, plus automated powder loading, recovery, and reclamation. Luxshare says the line halves floor space, cuts labor 80%, and lowers total cost over 30% versus conventional setups. The filings also disclose an anodizable aluminum powder with yield strength above 500 MPa for smartphone and wearable housings.

Five active AM programs appear in the filings: a titanium watch case already in mass production, a rare-earth-free high-strength aluminum powder, AI smart-glasses structural parts, a titanium-plus-injection-molding hybrid case, and a vapor chamber heat spreader, mapping onto categories already qualified by Apple's Watch Ultra 3 and Series 11 titanium cases and Honor/OPPO titanium foldable hinges. The disclosure signals AM has moved from pilot cells to a listed production category at one of the industry's largest electronics assemblers, catalogued alongside connectors and metal enclosures. For equipment and powder suppliers, the economics described, sub-30% cost reduction and 80% labor reduction on a four-laser cell, set the bar for winning share of million-unit consumer electronics programs, a volume tier most aerospace-focused LPBF vendors have not had to clear.
