Sichuan Yinshidai Additive Manufacturing, a handboard and prototyping service bureau founded in 2014, has installed two Yingpu P360 laser sintering systems and a PPS powder processing workstation in its Chengdu facility. The P360 offers a 360×360×600 mm build volume, 15 m/s scan speed, active cooling for faster cycle times, and near-100% powder recyclability. The PPS workstation enables automated powder handling and closed-loop management for both machines. Yinshidai’s service portfolio covers automotive, aerospace, electronics, and industrial design, and the move marks its first dedicated SLS capacity after years of primarily offering resin-based processes.

This expansion reflects a broader trend in China’s polymer AM service sector: as resin-based handboard margins compress, established bureaus are adding SLS to improve throughput and unit economics. The real test will be whether Yinshidai can sustain utilization across its diverse customer base-auto and aerospace prototyping typically require rapid iterations, but binder-free SLS powder handling and post-processing still demand skilled operators. Equipment reliability and powder management, not machine specs, will determine the return on this investment. Competitors like Farsoon and Eplus offer similar capacity, so differentiation will hinge on Yinshidai’s ability to deliver consistent quality and fast turnaround, not on hardware novelty.
