Anycubic, the Shenzhen-based consumer and prosumer 3D printer manufacturer, announced on June 17, 2026, the completion of a Series B funding round totaling several hundred million RMB. The round was co-led by Guotai Haitong and Fortune Capital, with participation from Challenger Capital, Mirae Asset Capital (China), and Qingbo Fund. Blacksheep Technology served as the sole financial advisor. Anycubic stated the capital will be directed toward multi-color and multi-material FDM/FFF printing workflows, high-end resin printers, core hardware and software development, and new material systems, alongside global sales channel expansion and local service buildout.
This round arrives at a moment when the consumer and prosumer polymer AM segment is undergoing a structural shift driven by multi-color FDM/FFF systems - a trend catalyzed largely by Bambu Lab's X-series and now being chased by incumbents like Anycubic and Creality. Anycubic, which has sold millions of units across over 200 countries since its 2015 founding, built its reputation on the Photon line of resin (VPP) printers for jewelry, dental models, and prototyping. The company's strategic pivot toward multi-color FDM, anchored by the Kobra X, Kobra S1 Combo, and Kobra S1 Max, signals an attempt to capture the growing demand for near-final-part output from desktop systems, reducing post-processing requirements. The funding also reinforces the company's intent to defend its resin stronghold while competing in the higher-throughput FDM tier, a dual-track strategy that mirrors the broader polymer-mex and polymer-vpp frontier.
For Anycubic, the practical challenge now is execution: translating this capital into reliable multi-color print quality and material ecosystem depth that can match the user experience benchmarks set by Bambu Lab's tightly integrated hardware-software stack. The company's 700-plus patent portfolio and existing global distribution give it a foundation, but the desktop AM market in 2026 rewards software polish and out-of-box repeatability as much as hardware specs. Buyers evaluating the Kobra S1 Combo against the Bambu Lab X2D or the Prusa CORE One should watch for real-world multi-material reliability and local service responsiveness, not just headline print speeds.
