
GRÄSSLIN Kunststoffe expands portfolio through partnership with DIPROmat for high-performance TPEs and ETP plastics

GRÄSSLIN Kunststoffe, a German distributor of engineering and high-performance plastic granules, has entered a partnership with DIPROmat GmbH to distribute the latter's portfolio of high-performance thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) and engineering thermoplastics (ETPs). Effective immediately, GRÄSSLIN becomes the official distributor for DIPROmat's materials, which include custom compounds for injection molding, extrusion, and additive manufacturing. Thomas Bücker, Managing Director of GRÄSSLIN, stated the collaboration creates added value for customers by enabling new applications and more flexible supply of high-quality materials. Michaela Moriconi, Managing Director of DIPROmat, highlighted GRÄSSLIN's market knowledge and technical competence as key factors in the partnership.
This partnership matters for the additive manufacturing materials segment because it expands the availability of specialized TPE and ETP grades suitable for polymer AM processes such as FDM/FFF and SLS. DIPROmat's materials bridge the gap between hard and soft polymers, offering temperature resistance and adhesion modification without requiring ultra-high-performance thermoplastics. For GRÄSSLIN, which already distributes engineering plastics, compounds, and masterbatches, adding DIPROmat's portfolio strengthens its position in the mid-range high-performance materials space - a segment that is growing as industrial users seek cost-effective alternatives to PEEK or PEKK for applications in automotive, industrial tooling, and consumer goods. The partnership also improves supply chain reliability for German and European customers by adding a domestic source for these specialized materials.
From a practical standpoint, this is a distribution expansion, not a technology breakthrough. The real value lies in GRÄSSLIN's ability to translate DIPROmat's material science into accessible, qualified feedstock for AM service bureaus and in-house production teams.
