Rapid Fusion, a UK-based manufacturer of large-format additive and hybrid manufacturing systems, has appointed Labostera as its reseller for Lithuania and Latvia. Labostera, a provider of equipment solutions for medical, scientific, and industrial sectors, will handle supply, installation, maintenance, and training across both Baltic countries. The agreement marks Rapid Fusion’s first entry into these markets, following a partner-led expansion strategy previously used to enter the United States through PADT in October 2025 and Italy through Aivox. Jake Hand, Founder and CEO of Rapid Fusion, stated that Labostera’s two decades of experience and established customer base make it the right partner to introduce large-format AM to the region’s industrial base.
This appointment extends Rapid Fusion’s reseller model, which relies on local technical partners rather than direct market entry. The strategy mirrors the company’s earlier moves into the U.S. and Italy, where partners provide application analysis, pilot proposals, system integration, and long-term support. For the Baltic region, this approach is particularly relevant given the area’s growing industrial base and the need for localized technical expertise in large-format AM. Rapid Fusion’s systems—including the Apollo, Zeus, Medusa, and Cerberus platforms—target applications in aerospace, defense, architecture, and industrial tooling, verticals where qualification and service support are critical. The deal underscores a recurring pattern in the AM industry: hardware manufacturers increasingly rely on regional resellers to overcome the qualification grind and service burden that direct sales models struggle to sustain at scale.
For Rapid Fusion, the Baltic expansion is a measured step that avoids the capital intensity of direct market entry. The company must now ensure Labostera can deliver the same level of technical support and application development that its Italian and U.S. partners provide. Buyers in Lithuania and Latvia should expect a service model built around long-term relationships rather than transactional sales, which is appropriate for large-format systems that require ongoing maintenance and training. This is a routine partnership announcement that confirms Rapid Fusion’s commitment to a proven go-to-market strategy, not a signal of broader industry shifts.
