Zhongti New Materials to show five metal powder systems, including rocket-grade CuCrNb copper and SCS-certified recycled Ti-6Al-4V, at Formnext Asia Shenzhen Aug 26-28

Zhongti New Materials (CNPC POWDER) will exhibit at Formnext Asia Shenzhen 2026, August 26-28, booth 15A15, showing five metal powder systems (aluminum, titanium, copper, nickel, iron) qualified for LPBF, SLM and binder jetting. The copper lineup anchors a thermal-management pitch: CNPC-Cu high-purity copper (purity >=99.95%) for 3.2T optical modules and liquid-cooled server housings, CuCrZr for IGBT modules and motor housings with embedded microchannel cooling, and CuCrNb (GRCop) rated to 1050C for rocket thrust chambers and aero-engine hot sections. On aluminum, Scalmalloy EX, the APWORKS-licensed scandium-aluminum alloy Zhongti became China's exclusive agent for last month, gets a thermal-optimized variant for robot-arm weight reduction, alongside AlCeScZr for aerospace heat-exchanger structures. Its Ti-6Al-4V powder (oxygen <0.13%, sphericity >92%) is billed as the first domestically produced titanium powder with 100% SCS recycled-content certification, with claimed carbon emissions at 10% of conventional powder output.

This is Zhongti's third disclosure in 90 days, after the Scalmalloy EX distribution deal and a joint research center with Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and reads as consolidation of that positioning around AI-compute and humanoid-robotics thermal demand rather than a new-material launch. The company now runs powder production and R&D across Anhui and Shanghai, a California plant under construction, and a Frankfurt base, supplying both Chinese and Western LPBF/SLM customers. AM Pulse's patent-linkage index currently shows zero active patent records under Zhongti's name, though that count is name-matched and likely undercounts.

Recycled-content titanium certification and rocket-grade copper point toward aerospace-qualification ambitions, but a trade-show catalog is not evidence of qualified flight use; the signal to watch is a named OEM adopting one of these alloys.
