XTPL wins follow-on order for 10 more UPD printhead modules from its first Chinese flat panel display customer

Polish electronics 3D printing OEM XTPL has received a follow-on order for 10 more Ultra-Precise Dispensing (UPD) printhead modules from its first Chinese customer, one of the country's largest flat panel display (FPD) manufacturers. The framework order will be delivered in tranches over 12 to 18 months, starting with two modules in the first batch, and follows the customer's original 2025 order of six UPD modules. The client uses XTPL's inkjet-style dispensing and conductive nanoink system for inline repair, fixing display defects during quality inspection rather than after full production, and the deal also includes recurring purchases of ink, cartridges and nozzles.

The repeat order matters because it moves XTPL's inline-repair use case from validated pilot to an accepted production-line tool, the harder milestone for any hardware supplier chasing recurring consumables revenue over one-off machine sales. XTPL sells through a local Chinese distributor that integrates the UPD printheads into industrial repair machines, a go-to-market model it is now testing in Japan and Silicon Valley. CEO Filip Granek and CFO Jacek Olszanski both framed the order as proof of a phased-delivery, consumables-driven commercial model rather than a chase for customer count, tied to the company's stated target of $25 million in revenue by 2028.

Inline dispensing repair also has upside beyond displays: individual data center chips run into the thousands of dollars, and validation on FPDs strengthens the case for chip-level defect repair as a future application.
