Zaha Hadid Architects' Tech Lab used WASP's HDP XL Extruder pellet system and CEREBRO robotic-arm control software to build a 6-meter-tall model of an aircraft control tower for the ZHAviation booth at Passenger Terminal Expo 2026. The model was printed in fire-resistant PETG across 15 panels, each roughly 1x1 meter, with a combined print time of 270 hours. The panels carry internal LED lighting and are mounted on a metal truss structure engineered for portability to future exhibitions. ZHA's Tech Lab now runs two robots on the CEREBRO platform, letting multiple panels print at once.

The project extends WASP's large-format robotic printing beyond its roots in construction and design objects, boat interiors, ceramic tiles, soil-based housing, into full-scale architectural exhibition modeling, a niche where AI Build, founded by former ZHA staff, has built a specialty. WASP now sells CEREBRO and its extruders as standalone components so systems integrators can retrofit any robotic arm into a pellet or ceramic printer, alongside separate pump modules for concrete deposition. That open-platform approach trades a single flagship product for reach across pellet, filament, ceramic, and clay processes, betting that volume from research labs, universities, and design studios compounds into a hardware and services business despite the company's scattered focus.
