Defense Qualification Programs Expand Across LPBF and DED
America Makes and its partner NCDMM split $9M across four teams under the Delta Qual 2.0 call to reduce LPBF requalification costs, with ATI Materials leading the installation-qualification topic and Dyndrite joining to develop measurement-based bracketed process-window qualification via its LPBF Pro software. In the same week, America Makes selected 25 suppliers for the separate $10.5M JAQS-SQ program to standardize LPBF and DED defense supplier qualification; Norsk Titanium US is among the selected teams.
Qualification activity extended beyond America Makes into marine and submarine applications.
